Icons
of Martyrs do not express the pain and the suffering
that they have endured. The Purely Coptic icons being
free from the terrifying scenes, which are
represented in the Byzantine style. However we find two
icons represented scenes of suffering which are probably
presented to our church as gifts. they are unusual, vey
rare in coptic art.
These
(both icons) depicated here: A- The killing of the
childeren. B-The Decapitation of Zechariah. |
