I'll always be myself

Walking on my way

I find many a face

Gazing at me from a distance

As I come closer after a while

They talk among themselves (may be about me)

And again they give me

Looks with those crafty smiles

A frown, I try to conceal

A pain in my heart but, then there is that, that would heal

I know what I am, What I am, I am

God, my parents trust me as much as they can

Then why care, who gives a glare?

Let them jeer, I have two ears

I’ll always do what my conscience says is right

Why pursue the every-varying trend

And fall in a plight?

A conflict between the heart and the mind

Is anything left behind?
