The other day I set off in my dream
To swim in a clear, bubbling stream
I got so wet as wet could be
And woke to find my mother hovering above me
In her hand she had a jug of water
That’s how I got wet, her dear daughter.
In my dreams another day
I climbed Mt. Everest in a pleasant way
And from the top I started to fall
“Help Me!” I started to call
And woke to find myself on the floor
I’d fallen off the bed and gotten sore.
Another dream and I was a queen
With a perfect figure, thin and lean
And I was stuffing myself with goodies
My mouth was full of pastries and cookies
And I woke to find myself in front of the fridge, Oh dear
And my mother’s hand was at my ear.
