| The next morning Felicity�s dad calls her into the living room. �Yes, dad�, she answered her dad as she walks into the living room. �Felicity, please set down, m and your mother have something to tell you�, he dad replies. Felicity sat down worried what thy were going to tell her, �I�ve been offered a new job.� Felicity replied, �that�s great, dad!� �But there�s one thing, we have to move to L.A.�, Mr. Weeks adds. Felicity felt her heart stop and jump into her throat. She didn�t want to move. It was her senior year, she didn�t want to change schools. But most of all she just found the love of her life. Now she is told to leave him behind. �No, I�m not moving I just found a guy that actually loves me for me. Besides that it�s my senior year�, she blurts out, �I�m not going.� �Felicity, I know how you feel but that�s what we have to do�, Mrs. Weeks states. Felicity runs up stairs to her bedroom then barriers her head into her pillow crying. She laid there crying thinking how to break the news to Taylor. She heard a knock at the door. Felicity looks up, �come in�, she replies. It was Mrs. Weeks, �I know that this might not be the best time to give this to you. But your father and I decided to give your graduation present to you early. Would you please follow me?� Felicity got up from her bed and whipped her tears away. She followed her mother down stairs and stopped at the front door. �Ok, Felicity, give me your hand and close your eyes�, her mother told her. Felicity did as she was told. Her mother lead her outside, �ok you can open your eyes now.� Felicity opens her eyes to see a bran new red camero convertible. She stands still for a few seconds then replies, �thank you, I like it.� Then walks back inside the house. Felicity was too depressed to even take her new car out for a spin. The fact still remand, she was going to have to move away form Taylor away from Taylor. She was thinking how she was going to break the news to him. She picked up the phone and called Taylor. �Hello�, Taylor answered. �Taylor, it�s felicity, can I come over,� Felicity asked. Taylor replied, �sure, I need some company. I�m here all by myself.� Felicity replied, �ok, I�ll be over in a few minutes.� Felicity ran down stairs and yelled, �I�m going to a friends house I�ll be back later�, as she walked out the door. Soon she arrived at Taylor�s house. Taylor saw her drive up he greeted her outside. �Hey, you got a new car� Taylor smiled. Felicity gave a half smile, �yeah, I got it as a graduation present.� Taylor could sense that there was something wrong. �Felicity, are you ok? Is there something wrong�, Taylor asked concerned. Felicity paused �Taylor I need you. You�re the only one that I feel like talking to right now.� Taylor replied �ok, well come on inside and we�ll talk.� He put his arm around her shoulders and walked her inside. They entered the living room and sat down on the couch. �Taylor my dad told me this morning, God this is so hard�, she continued, �We have to move to L.A.� Because my dad got a new job offer and he took it.� Taylor�s eyes started to tear up, � I love you, Felicity. I don�t want you to move to anywhere, but closer to my heart.� Felicity cried, � I know, I love you too, I don�t want to move either.� They hugged each other and shared a kiss. They sat on the couch and held each other for an hour. Taylor kissed her and said, �I have an idea�, Taylor continued, �after graduation you can come back to Tulsa to live.� Felicity returned his kiss, �I�d rather not leave at all but seems that�s the only choice we have.� They stared into each other�s eyes. It was as if a wave of heat came over them. One thing leads to another and they experienced something for the first time. They laid by one another just gazing into each other�s eyes. |
