Everyone says they sound like Grinspoon but I can't hear that at all I'm
afraid. What I can hear on this 4 track EP is a band raised on Triple J
writing songs that are more likely to find a home at Sea FM.
'Fading Feelings' is the real standout track in this respect and it's a very
accomplished recording for such a young band that is bound to evoke
professional jealously from their peers, because you can imagine their
front man playing in covers bands, auditioning for Australian Idol or singing
in musicals.
These songs have a lot of substance and heart and Chris Coleman
is such a gifted vocalist there is no doubt he is destined to make a living
from music, lets hope he stays true to his indie roots.
'Un-bled' is a more generic track which is more an exercise in demonstrating the rock credentials of the band, particularly some of the melodic runs from bass
player Seth Henderson.
'With You' is an acoustic track that features Chris Coleman solo and I have to say a whole album of that would be quiet pleasant, certainly interesting and rare to find a band that sounds equally great electric and unplugged.
The artwork and packaging is amateurish and awful, but their still at school so I think we can forgive them this once.

The local line-up for the night consisted of those fresh-faced youngsters from HANNAH and perennial support act, the Reactions. It was good to see a young band like HANNAH given a chance, and they sounded like they have a bit of potential. Their songs had overtones of Incubus and Interpol and they were pretty tight as a band.

Three things.First thing?Fuckin; loud.
Second, the singer guy was wearing a New Kids On The Block tshirt (never good). Third, there were hundreds of screaming girls.
This last thing made the other two things not so bad, so I was willing to look past it. Hannah, local only-just-not-underage-rockers, kicked the night off, and I was surprised that the Hobart crowd got into them as much as they did. It's not a common sight to see a barely known local act get such a response from the crowd, singing
along to songs they only just been exposed to and girls screaming and whistling. In fact, its damn uncommon to see that with an established local act. That said, the crowd was swallowing pretty much everything thrown at them.
Kisschasy took forever to come on, but they played a decent a descent set one they had taken the stage.
