After the Botanical Gardens, we were really hungry so we decided to find a place to eat. Kev suggested Lake Anza, a little lake in the park. The bathing side of the lake was cordoned off and cost a few dollars to get in. We just walked around the other side of the lake, and settled on a fallen log for our picnic seats. While we were munching away our sandwhiches, a couple with their dog came by. We were very impressed with the dog. It's owner had this ball stick which can throw balls at long distances, and he keeps throwing the ball into the lake and the dog just jump in and swam really fast to retrieve the ball. Kev was impressed at the speed; I was impressed that a dog would want to do things like that. My pets have always been cats, and they definitely don't like water. And the dogs that I've met in the States so far were untrained ones - they don't even know how to sit on command. |
