By this time, I was really hungry but the Botanical gardens made me ignore that little rumbling tummy as it turned out to be a nice little adventure. We felt like we're in someone's private garden and all the surrounding foliage and flowers had decided to adopt the place. There were small bridges everywhere over the brooks and streams, and the steps and fences blended well in the garden.
Kev pointed out that they had done a great job in differentiating the garden into different parts. There were areas where it's all cool and green, with the sun barely peeking through the lush foliage. And suddenly, we stepped out onto rocks and cacti plants. We were also entranced one of the stream's bigger section, it was very dark with almost no sunlight and I felt that we were almost intruders, and that a fairy queen would come out and tell us to go away. We sat there for a few minutes.
On the way back though, I saw a small black snake on the path in front of us. Suffice to say, I jumped back and squealed. Kev laughed and told me not to be scared of a garter snake. I told him that it's better to be safe than sorry and huffed away. The snake had of course scurried off by then - thank goodness. |

Somehow the background reminds me of Malaysia a bit. Isn't it lush and green? Hardly looks like Summer. |

Kev thought that it would be nice to see if we can capture the sun through the trees. I think he did a good job out of it. |
