Also
known as Double M, Master Minds is a squad of
Miami-based rappers.
When
the group was created in 2001, the group actually
consisted of two members: Juggerknot, and Infamous.
They soon recruited J-Sin that same year, and
about a couple of months later, Killa Ray joined
the group after guest appearing on some of the
tracks recorded.
The
group itself has gone through many changes as
far as members leaving or joining the group. At
one point, Killa Ray was out of the group due
to the fact that he had gone back to college and
it was difficult to work with him due to the long
distance.
Around
the year 2003, Infamous, Juggerknot, and J-Sin
kept making music together but felt that they
needed to recruit more members, so they got in
touch with Tha Button Man and Friendly Eddy, who
they had previously recorded with in the past.
The group then picked up DJ Furious, but they
soon felt that he had no real purpose being in
the group, so he was immediately dropped. After
loosing the so-called DJ, Tha Button Man introduced
the rest of the group to DJ Spit, who was a master
on the turn-tables, as well as an emcee. As soon
as DJ Spit made the cut, Killa Ray came back,
and by this time, the Master Minds was a seven
person group.
