Religious Education Program
(CCD)
Grade 1-10
The C.C.D. program provides formal religious instruction for children in grades 1 through 10 who attend public schools.  The programs are in accord with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the National Catechetical Directory and other documents published by the Bishops of the United States.  These instructions provide opportunities to learn about God, to celebrate the sacraments together, to develop a caring attitude for the people in our neighborhoods and the world, and to build community within the parish.

Grades K-6 meet on Monday or Tuesday from 4:00 - 5:10 p.m.

Grades 7-10 meet on Sunday at 9:30- 10:45 a.m.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.)

Any person with no active church affiliation who is interested in becoming a Catholic is invited to take part in the catechumenate.  This process is designed to familiarize inquirers with the life and message of Jesus Christ.  Sessions usually begin in early fall to give a general overview of the Faith.  These are followed by a period of more formal presentations on Catholic doctrine and practice.  Those who wish to become members of the Church prepare themselves through prayer and reflection on the scriptures.  Most often, reception into the Catholic Church is celebrated during the Vigil of Easter.  For more information, please contact the Pastor, the Director of Religious Education, or the office.
