Poverty has robbed our fellow Filipinos of
their dignity and their basic human rights: the right to live decently, the
right to own a home and provide for one's family.
By the most recent estimate, more than four million Filipino families are either
homeless or live in sub-standard homes.
The Pabahay Handog
sa Pilipino provides benefits to Filipinos especially the poor in
the Philippines. The project is a collaborative effort of various NGOs, private
organizations, government agencies and civil society.
A community center will be
constructed at the heart of the subdivision to house the development training
programs in health and sanitation, sustainable livelihood, environmental
consciousness and other activities for the beneficiary families.
Both affordable and durable, Pabahay Handog sa Pilipino homes are of
international standard quality. The target recipients are Pag-IBIG members as
well as the poorest of the poor or the lowest 20 percent families in the
Philippines. Pabahay Handog sa Pilipino Program, together with the local
government officers and local private groups, will select the beneficiary
families among the poor people in the area.
The
principal goal of Pabahay Handog sa Pilipino, Inc. is to develop, build and endow to qualified Filipino families, homes for decent living.
