There are several freshwater attractions, birds, reptiles, etc.  I find that I gravitate toward the marine aquaria.  There was one aquarium in progress in which I was able to take a pictures (seen below).
Spreading Brain Coral
Bali Pom-Pom Xenia
On the left, we see the Bali Pulsing Xenia.  It is very hypnotic.  Over to the right, we see a large brain coral spreading over its base rock.  The picture really does not do it justice in terms of it's size and beauty.  From here I went to my favorite tank in the Baltimore Aquarium - The Pacific Reef.  The shear size, number of fish, corals, etc. are all amazing.  While there, we saw one of the workers who invited us behind the scene to see the plumbing, equipment, etc.  We also got a really nice top down view of the aquarium.  This exhibit is absolutely huge and breathtaking.

If you are ever in the Baltimore area, the extra effort to get out to the National Aquarium will definitely be worth it!!!
