PHILOSOPHY/OBJECTIVES

Young children learn the most when they are having fun. That's why we offer numerous fun activities to help stimulate your child's development. We acknowledge the fact that children need to learn at their own pace and encourage them to express their creativity freely in all activities. The goals we find the most important to childhood development. and our fun fresh way to achieve them are as follows.

Communication - We encourage children to communicate through baby sign language, finger plays, songs, acting out and telling stories as well as circle time.

Dramatization/Life Skills - Our play kitchens, work benches, dolls, trucks, costumes, etc. as well as our exciting stage encourages children to act out what they see, hear and feel.

Self Reliance - We feel that children gain self esteem as well as help out the adults caring for them when they learn to dress and clean themselves and the space around them.

Reading - Reading is an important as well as an enjoyable part of life. All children are read to through out the day, have daily story time and even have accessibility to their very own library!

Compassion - It is important for children to learn that everyone has feelings and we need to treat others as we wish to be treated. Your child will learn compassion by caring for our plants and animals as well as the environment and the differences that make us unique.

Becoming A Member Of The World Community - Your child will learn about the world around them through pretend trips (past, present and future), songs, stories, food, crafts and guest speakers both from their community and countries around the world.

Computer Skills - We live in a computer oriented world therefore daily computer time will be available for all children starting at about six months of age.

Fresh Air Time - It is mandatory for all children. Fresh air is important for the development of a strong healthy mind and body.
