Bio

Martin Xaiver Casey and pal Bob Kourelis formed the start of what would become the Lovehammers after meeting and becoming friends while on the same Little League team in junior high school...
...Meanwhile Dino Kourelis (Bob's younger brother) contiued to hang out with the older boys making up funny lyrics and such before he was told to either get an instrument or get lost...He got himself a used bass for $200...
...The band soon gained themselves a guitarist in another neighborhood kid and rock enthusiast, Ben Kelly...And, thanks to Bobby's "studying" of Playboy they had a name - The Swinging Lovehammers...
...The guys played and learned together but soon sensed the need for something more...more guitar...and so for the guys "borrowed" Billy Sailchik for a show in 1994...they never returned him...
Some years past and Ben went on to do his own thing (though he still guest jams with the guys on occasion)...the guys dropped the "Swinging" from their name and became, simply, The Lovehammers...
...They toured with the likes of Nickelback, Jerry Cantrell, Interpol, Puddle of Mudd, Cake and Gomez...they recorded on recordings with those who also worked with Nirvana (Stever Albini), Aerosmith (Marty Frederickson), and Staind and Disturbed (Johnny K)...
In 2005 Marty became a contestant on the reality show RockStar:INXS gaining praise, fans from around the world, and the runner-up position complete with the opportunity for The Lovehammers to open for the newly reformed INXS....
By 2006 the guys went by Marty Casey and Lovehammers...they had self titled best of CD back by the major label Sony/Epic, managment in the hands of Doc McGee (Motley Crue and Bon Jovi) and their own head-lining tour...
After selling 25,000 copies of their indie release, Murder on My Mind, and 70 thousand and counting of their self-titled debut on Epic Records, a Christmas song and music video, and a new DVD on the way there's only one question left...What's next?

This page isn't official in any way...It's not affliated with anyone...Just trying to make a space in the world for the guys to hang and dig on good ol' Rock 'N' Roll without the squeels of the fangirls (we love ya ladies, but sometimes we just wanna dig on the tunes without hearing about how hot you think the guys are)...Still, cool chicks are always welcome to hang with us!
