| This waterfalls was my childhood playground. Me and my brother grew up visiting this place every saturday. This like many other waterfalls along the Niagara Escarpment had a ills along side of it. Their is evidence of this at the present day except for a large gaping hole off to the side of this falls the mill pond on the opposite side of Mud street a grinding wheel and a few foundational bricks. This is a cascade waterfalls with a first drop of about 6 meters and then a second drop of about 4 with a wide accessable ledge It faces east and is open to the sky. Access to the gorge is moderatly easy stairs take you about a third of the way down they a small ledge then down another slope. Anyone with an hiking ability can do this. If you visit this area from late fall to early spring you will be able to get much more vantage points for photography as the redhill creek right at the bottom of the falls takes a quick turn to the left then another quick turn to the right forming a natural ampitheater. | |||||||||||||||
