The mission of the HFC is to develop and sustain its community by:
- Membership: providing members a place to belong and inviting them to our community.
- Hospitality: creating a respectful and welcoming environment.
- Offers and promotes culture and education.
- Respect: in the way we act amongst our fellow members, learning and respecting each others opinion and differences.
- Building and Supporting positive ideas and creating a synergy within the community.
- Assist the Hamilton Filipino Community Centre (HFCC) in sustaining its goals.
- Positive Attitude and Development: to become and nourish into positive influences among society.
- Togetherness: join with the HFCC and will help govern in an open and respectful, and accessible manner, and to other communities when necessary.
- Independence: to work independently and with the HFCC to create and implement strategies necessary to turn vision into reality.
- Leadership: to become encouraging and positive role models and leaders in society.
- Fiscal accountability: to increase the efficiency of our budget through fiscal responsibility and prudence.
- Leadership in our thinking and in our action; encouraging individual and team initiatives that exceed expectation, and advocating what we believe in.
- Innovation: to think broadly and long-term.
- Integrity: to honor one's word as one's self; to demonstrate honesty and sincerity in all of our dealings, upholding only the highest ethical principles; to provide open communications and to create informed opinion.
