I wanted to renew my participation in Filipino sponsored events in Hamilton. In the past few years my attendance has waned due to a hectic life. But I made the conscious decision to take an active role in helping to build a stronger Filipino Hamilton Community. It is my vision to continue the hard work and dedication of our parents and pass it on to our children � the Filipino Youth. Although daunting at times, being on the Executive Board has been challenging, fun and extremely rewarding. It has given me the opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with old acquaintances. I am grateful to be working closely with such a bright and dynamic group of people on this Committee. In a short period of time, I have developed a stronger sense of self and my Filipino identity. For this I have to thank the HFC, especially our fearless leader, Erica Villabroza, as well as those who have supported us along the way.
