You Are The Horizon
In Memory of James M. Ferguson 1921-1991
Everywhere I look I see a memory of you
I'm almost sure God painted your picture in my closed eyelids for when I close my eyes all I see are my last memories of you
You are but the voices echo in the wind
You are the summer breeze blowing through the trees
You are but the language spoken among the birds
Your encouragement that kept me going and your smile that healed my wounds
And your presence that kept the pieces all togegether remind me of the world before there were men
And your garden was called Eden, beautiful and peaceful
I wish I could have told you this before you left our lives forever but you were my only idol and even though you are with God up in Heaven I keep my oath to live up to you as I saw you through my heart
To most you are a vision haunting their emotions but to me you're the Horizon that goes on and on forever
