How the fundraising works:
4 Paws does not hire, or recruit volunteers to fundraise for them on a regular basis. The reason for this, is that volunteers would be able to donate only limited time. And don't always have the committment or drive to do the fundraising.
But, if they agree to provide a trained service dog to the people who need them, those people are more likely to raise funds for the organization as they have a vested interest in it.
So, we work for each other in this process. In order for us to receive an Autism Assistance Dog, they ask us to raise $12,000 (or 12.000 points - 1 point per dollar).
This helps to cover the expenses involved with the dogs they train. Those expenses include veterinary treatments, food, shelter, TRAINING, and all the other expenses involved in owning a dog. |
