Halls of Ivy has cordially parted ways with bassist Nicholas Webster. Due to many instances of scheduling conflicts, and laggard attitudes by both parties, we feel it is best for the band to move in a new direction. We did much better the second night of the variety show. We went on to play at Lyons Town Hall, it wasn't really our crowd, but we did pretty good. Also, if you've noticed some changes, there are a couple of new graphics, and a new band member! We'll hopefully have Johanna on board from now on singing for us.
Local band has equipment malfunction. Band crashes and burns. Leaves immediately after show, talks to no one. We'll be back tomorrow night to redeem ourselves. Also, I guess we'll be at Lyons Town Hall next Saturday, Nov. 12, to play a show there with some other area bands. More on that later?
HOI had its first show Friday in the courtyard of BHS along with Void, and Free Prize Inside. We played pretty well, the PA wasn't really able to get loud enough to hear our vocals, but they aren't terrible, trust me. The bottom line is that it seemed to go over. Besides that, There has been a HUGE update to the merch, so check that out.
Hey, gang. HOI has a full, 45 min. or so set prepared, and nealy ready to showcase. You'll all have a chance to see us if you go to BHS(or if you don't too.) Check the Shows page for that info. There are a few new songs up, some still without the lyrics posted. Also, there's a new gallery on the Band page.
What's going on, what's new with Halls Of Ivy? Well, I'll tell you. We've taken care of an amplification problem, bought Joe a Marshall amp so he doesn't have to play on any borrowed ones anymore. We're starting to work more on the vocals for the songs we've made.. Lyrics have been finished for a few songs, and being touched up on the rest. Halls of Ivy will be making their first public appearance at the BHS Variety Show each night in November most likely, unless we find another show before then. We're also making connections with other Burlington area bands to set up shows anywhere we can. The music scene is alive, we just have to get it kicking.
Halls of Ivy is working on their forthcoming LP, "Public Indecency". This should hopefully be out sometime during late 2005/early 2006. We're working hard on our material, etc. It's coming along superbly. It is truly the cat's meow Also, we have a PureVolume and our first two wallpapers. They are here and here.
Hey Everyone, this is Joe from HOI. We've been working on music, lyrics,
and this website frequently in the past week or so. Soon all the section should be up and running, and shows will start popping up so you can actually see the band live! There's not much to report, Jonathan and I are working on lyrics and the site today, there should be more to come later on.
