GBS at Irving Plaza 2004
Hardly taking a breath, San went right into General Taylor and very soon even the audience was singing 4-part harmony with him. He looked very happy to have all of our voices helping. He sang, A pint of rum for every man and a gallon of tequila for every woman.
Sean was impressed by the singers in New York City.
We did him proud!
Let It Go My class really enjoys this song, especially Jos, who has me play it everyday to get him in a good frame of mind.

After
Let It Go, Alan talked about the release of Something Beautiful in the US, stating that in Buffalo they had the #2 selling album the first week it came out. Buffalonians do love GBS, thats for sure. Alan dedicated the song to all the ladies in the house because you are so friggin beautiful.
For Run Runaway, San and Bob were very dancey. San was all over the stage bouncing around and having a ball. I am so glad this made its way back into the set list after a short hiatus. Now can I hope for Billy Peddle to make a comeback? Auntie Mary?
I recognized the intro to Im A Rover and watched as one condom, then a shower of them flew onto the stage. Alan didnt quite know what was going on but then picked one up, recognizing it for what it was. He giggled a bit and another shower of condoms flew up on stage, one hit San on the leg. Then a female condom found its way on stage and Alan picked it up. Now holding TWO condoms, one male one female, he starts to gloat. Holding up the large package with the female column, Alan stated, This one (male condom) is Sans, this big one is mine. Well, that got all the girls giggling and motioning for him to read. He began reading the package and suddenly realized what it was, He looked up from his reading and commented, Holy shit! San made a comment about how they were now fully equipped to start the next song. Alan said something about being very safe on stage at this point. He added, I am not familiar with all American customs, but I can assume this means we are doing very well. And Rover commenced.
"Holy Shit!!!!!!"
Blah, blah blah...
"We are now fully equipped to start the next song."
