| I was hoping we�d get an encore but as soon as Alan left the stage, Danny came out and started taking the mics off the stands. A bunch of people in the crowd began chanting �Great Big Sea� or �GBS� and the announcer came out to quiet them down. His words were unfortunate. He just about told everyone that they could chant all they want but GBS was done and they�d have to wait a year for the encore. He got booed, or the thought that GBS was over got booed. He could have gotten out of it gracefully by acknowledging the exuberance of the fans and thanking them for coming, inviting them to come back next year. But he talked about how they were being selfish. Oy vey � he can use some thinking on his feet. |
