"Can't Stop Dreaming Review"
Like many of you I have been a fan of H&O and Daryl in particular for eons.  I think that Daryl is a timeless and classic musical talent.  Yet for all of his talent he has never duplicated the success he has enjoyed  with John.  It's funny but when I go back and listen to the earlier albums I can't help but notice the difference in Daryl's voice.  His voice has certainly matured over the years and personally I much prefer the way he sounds now to the way he sounded in the '70's.  Like a fine wine his voice has evolved into what I think is the finest R&B and soul singer of all time.  Never mind his sensual & sexy persona. It's all part of what makes Daryl so  soulful.

To watch him sing and put all his emotions, heart & soul into a song is just phenomenal. Yet he has never gotten the total respect that he so richly deserves.

My favorite of Daryl's solo efforts is without a doubt "Can't Stop Dreaming."  I was totally blown away the first time I listened to it.  Like an addict needing another fix I just couldn't stop playing this cd.  I finally decided I better burn a copy and put the real deal away before I wore it out! Words move me and I found with few exceptions that this disk is priceless if you are a Daryl Hall fan.

CAB DRIVER: is beyond a doubt my fav' track.  It just grabbed me and wouldn't let go.  I just love the bluesy feel of it and the lyrics conjure up images (for me) of a rainy night and a long cab ride.

WHAT'S IN YOUR WORLD: I've always gotten the impression that Daryl had Sara in mind when he penned this.  Maybe because they they were going through some rough times around that time.  The line that  really grabbed me was and still is "I can't fight what I can't see." Just melodically and lyrically a beautiful song.

CAN'T STOP DREAMING: How can you not like this song?  Makes me want to get up and dance and I do!

SOMETHING ABOUT YOU: "Where did that smile come from."  Lyrically Daryl & Sara did it so well.

JUSTIFY: I love this tune. Love the lyric: "baby's gone, said she's movin' on, telling me I'm not comin' along."

ALL BY MYSELF: This song reminds me of Marvin Gaye's  "What's Going On."

SHE'S GONE: I know there are those who think it is almost sacrilegious for Daryl to have done this soulful  version but to me it is just a gorgeous solo effort from Daryl.  The first time I heard it I darn near cried.  Those soulful guitars give it such a haunting  feeling and I swear I could almost touch as well as feel his sadness.

LET ME BE THE ONE: Love the melody and lyrics

HOLDING OUT FOR LOVE: So soulful love this one too.
