YELTZ FALTER ON OPENING DAY
Reference 025
Date 16/8/03

Halesowen's 2003/2004 campaign got off to an appalling start with a very disappointing 2-0 defeat at Clevedon.
Mark Gayle - sent his marching orders (pic www.hednesfordtownfc.co.uk)

Town did dominate the first-half of a game delayed by 45 minutes due to the visitors being caught in traffic and should have taken the lead through Lewis Baker. However an abysmal display in the second half granted Clevedon chances to take the lead and did so in the final minute. Mark Gayle (pictured)rubbed salt into the Town faithful's wounds seconds later when he handled out of his area. Clevedon duly scored from the resulting free-kick.
