The Yeltz have been handed a very tricky start in their bid for Conference football with games against Clevedon, Ilkeston and Mangotsfield in the opening three games - all of whom are likely to be in the top ten come May.

Dr Martens - sponsors of the Southern League
The season starts away at Clevedon on 16th August with the first game at the Grove being three days later at home to Ilkeston on a Tuesday night. The first Saturday home fixture is on the 23rd August when Mangotsfield United visit the Grove.

The season will end on the 1st May when Team Bath make their first visit to the Grove. This years Boxing Day clash is a home game against Stourport Swifts.

In other news Halesowen Town FC have released the following statement:

"THE BOARD ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT MARK SERRELL HAS BEEN APPOINTED A DIRECTOR OF HALESOWEN TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB LTD.

MARK WILL WORK VERY CLOSELY WITH CHAIRMAN NIGEL PITT ON A 5 YEAR PLAN TO BRING CONFERENCE FOOTBALL TO THE GROVE.

THE AIM IS TO TURN HALESOWEN TOWN F.C. INTO A COMMUNITY CLUB COVERING MANY ASPECTS AND TO MAKE SURE THE CONTINUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE EXISTING COMMERCIAL/MARKETING TARGETS ARE MET.

CHAIRMAN NIGEL PITT IS DELIGHTED MARK HAS REJOINED AND LOOKS FORWARD TO WORKING ALONGSIDE HIM YET AGAIN.

"MARK HAS GOOD IDEAS, FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE AND IS A WORKER NOT A TALKER".
