With the start of the season a little
over a month away Yeltz boss Brendan Phillips has
strengthened his squad by adding Simon Hollis , Darren Grocutt
(pictured) and Lewis Baker.
Hollis joins Halesowen having had a very
successful season on-loan with Redditch United.
The Reds were expected to sign the youngster
permanently from Solihull but the Yeltz nipped in
at the last minute with a bid of £1250 to secure
his services for next season.
Joining Hollis will be former Tamworth captain
Darren Grocutt. The former Burton and Bromsgrove
defender has put pen-to-paper after rejecting
offers from Hednesford and Sutton Coldfield. He
will be reunited with his former Tamworth team
mate Mark Hallam at The Grove. He was also a
member of Tamworth's Championship winning side of
last season.
Finally former Birmingham City trainee Lewis
Baker has committed himself to the club after
signing from Stourbridge. A midfielder he has a
reputation of bagging plenty of goals from
midfield, having also been with Thimblemill he
will be an exciting addition to the squad.
Phillips has also promised more signings as he
assembles Town's new look squad. |
