Charles Dorismond was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti in a place called Ruelle Cameau. Bigga Haitian father, Andre Dorismond, is a famous singer in Haiti. His father was a lead singer in the Webert Sico group. In 1975 when Charles Dorismond arrived in New York, he had no idea what the future held for him. Young Dorismond spent much of the next 15 years living amongst Jamaican immigrants in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn daily exposure to the pulsating rhythm of reggae music, began to simulate the soul of this young artist.
In 1981, Charles Dorismond happened to be at a a live Admiral Bailey's concert at the the Reggae Lounge in New York City. Charles was so captivated by his performance, that it left an incredible impression on him. It was Admiral Bailey's hit tune "Big Belly Mon" that influenced him. Immediately the decision was made, Charles Dorismond, a native from Haiti would adopt the name "Bigga haitian" and go on to study and pursue reggae music placing an emphasis on the Dancehall style. He would become the first Haitian reggae entertainer. He began to compose and voice his own lyrics and within a short time Bigga Haitian was working with various artists and producers in and around the New York Tri-state area. On November 4,1992 "Bigga's Birthday" he signed with the "A Royal Production" label. His contract with his friend and producer "Kadaffi" has been the launching pad for his now sucessful blooming career.
