The death of Peter Hæggman, a tailor

Heureka!

I´ve finally found it in the church records, the death of tailor Peter Hæggman.

He passed away in Bosarp, not in neighbouring Stehag, in 1768. He was 84 when he died, which means that he was born around 1684 (location still unknown). Thus, he was about 65 years old in 1749.

That age fits very nicely with my theory that tailor Petter Hæggman is the same man as horseman Petter Hagman. The latter was married to a woman named Sahra, who died a 69-year-old in 1749. The first child of the tailor and his wife Elna was then christened Sara in 1751. It was quite common in those days to name the child of the second spouse after a deceased first spouse.

Still, there is no definite proof. Not yet, anyway...  The quest goes on...
