I´ve just found a new post at Rotter suggesting that Belgium is the cradle of the Swedish Haggmans. Two Haggman brothers supposedly arrived at Kengis in Northern Sweden at the end of the 17th century and eventually spread the family name to Finland. According to this source, they were so-called Walloons, fleeing Catholic persecution in their home country. Quite a number of these people ended up in the Swedish mining industry, by royal invitation.
Making this tangle even more confusing - and interesting...
