*Das ist Lübke-Englisch. Wenn ein Text schon schwachsinnig ist, sollte er wenigstens sprachlich einigermaßen korrekt sein! Im Englischen wird das Passiv zwar bisweilen überstrapaziert, aber hier macht sein - obligatorischer - Gebrauch durchaus Sinn, denn gemeint ist ja nicht, daß kein Laut etwas hört und daß kein Licht etwas sieht, sondern daß kein Laut zu hören und kein Licht zu sehen ist. Deshalb muß es richtig heißen: "... to be heard" und "... to be seen".
