Arena Results - December 4, 2006

Another VGWA barnburner took place last night!  Let's take a gander at the results...

1) Alastaire Marvel defeated Frogman Itchihara via pinfall @ 7:36.

- After the match, Itchihara sat in the middle of the ring in the fetal position, crying and tearing his hair out, cursing his inability to score a victory over anyone.  He then began to lash out, and nearly destroyed the announce table before security guards and medics were able to restrain him.

2) Carl Stonewall vs. "Kingpin" Billy LaLonde vs. 3D in a triple-threat legends match!

This match was 24:33 of pure hell.  The blood flowed like water, and in the end, Carl Stonewall walked away with the victory when he KO'd the Kingpin!  After the match, 3D grabbed a microphone.  He said "You won, and that's all well and good, Carl.  But you and me, we've got some unfinished business.  Lotta people been talkin', ever since the old days... wonderin' who really is better, you or me.  And it seems to be I can't remember us ever havin' laced up boots and gone toe to toe... but I think that's gonna change, real quicklike." and with that, he left the arena.

3) Rookie sensation Terry Menard defeated Scissorwolf in an astonishing 2:01 to regain the Undisputed Hungarian Commonwealth People's Heavyweight Championship of the World!  A rookie sensation, indeed!

4) Newcomer "Crippler" Casey O'Connor came to the ring and talked a little shit.  He spotted former Hungarian Champion Ianukka Wapanaya in the crowd.  O'Connor began to throw insults in Wapanaya's direction, eventually goading him into the ring.  It was a pier-sixer!

At one point, Scissorwolf ran into the ring and began to attack Wapanaya!  No one is sure what provoked this uncharacteristic attack, but backstage, Terry Menard had had enough.  He ran to ringside to even the odds and kick Scissorwolf's ass.  In the end, O'Connor used his ring-knowitiveness and took advantage of Wapanaya's ring rust to score the victory via pinfall @ 15:42  Another match of the year candidate.

5) Globally Recognized Champion Hunter Vargas defended against T.J. Powers in a steel cage.  It was a mockery, with Powers getting almost no offense.  Vargas won at 5:22 and retained his title.

Post Match Commentary

- 3D vs. Carl Stonewall?  This could be the match of the century!

- Congratulations to new Hungarian Champion Terry Menard, who becomes the youngest Champ ever for the second time.

- Two breakdowns in one night?  Perhaps the wear and tear of the life of a pro wrestler has gotten to Frogman Itchihara and Scissorwolf?  It just goes to show that it doesn't matter if you're on the very top or the very bottom, it can all turn into a world of shit with the snap of your fingers.  Our best wishes go out to both men
