In June of 2008, the Video Game Wrestling Alliance entered into a merger with the Nintendo Wrestling Association, the Activision Grand National Wrestling Triumverate and several other prominent organizations to form Fantasy Unlimited Championship Rasslin - FUCR.
At this point, the formerly undisputed Hungarian Commonwealth People's Heavyweight Championship of the World was once again considered a defunct title. No longer would it be defended on a regular basis.
However, FUCR would now hold an annual event titled The Hungarian Heritage Grand Prix. This title is considered a direct link to the legacy of the Hungarian title. |
