GAC Juniors

2008 GAC Juniors (Kid's Club)

The GAC Juniors meet the second Tuesday of each Month from October until May from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Art Centre in the NIRC in St. Martin. Cost is $24.00 per year per Child, which includes supplies. For more information please contact the Executive or send us an e-mail.

In August 2006 the Gypsumville Art Club with support of the Lakeshore Recreation Commission and funding support from the Interlake Regional Health Authority, held its first Kid's Day for children between the ages of 7-13. Stations were set up with a variety of arts and craft activities. At each station the children completed specific projects. The Lakeshore Recreation Commssion provided the essential sports activities throughout the day. The GAC also provided a health lunch and snacks for the children.

This day, launched a club for children, the GAC Juniors, starting October 2006 and ran until June 2007. That year we 8 children enrol in October, and ended the year with 12. October 2007 started the second year of Art Activities for the children. Currently we have 16 children. This year the GAC Juniors runs from October until May of 2009.
