A few days later, Scarlett was at home playing with Katie when she received an unexpected visitor. She was sitting in the parlor when she heard a knock on the door. She went to it expecting to find Cathy there with some sort of muffin (Cathy had told her earlier that she would be coming over). Instead she found a man in a navy blue suit waiting on the porch.
"Can I help you?" Scarlett said.
"Yes, I wish to see the mistress of this house. One Scarlett O'hara. I have a message for her?"
"I am Scarlett O'hara.?"
"I have a message for you, from King James of Dansboro. He wishes of your honored presence for a visit to his palace. He wants for you to come as soon as possible?"
Scarlett thought for a minute. James wants for me to come visit him! Well, then I guess that I will just have to do it. "Tell your king that I would be delighted to come and visit him. On one condition?"
"What might that be, ma'me?"
"The one condition is if I can bring my family with me."
"I'm sure that can be arranged?"
Scarlett practically went skipping inside her house. What would Rhett think if he found out that a king wanted for me to come and visit. Ooh! My friends in Atlanta would be green with envy!
