Scarlett could read no more, it was too painful for her. Scarlett now knew that she couldn't get Rhett back, and if she tried, then she would be even more of a social outcast than she had been in Atlanta, which was too much for her to bear. Scarlett screamed, if for no other reason than to express the anger inside of her. Just then, Scarlett looked down at her growing stomach and remembered the baby, Rhett's baby.
"Oh Rhett, if only you knew." She said with a sigh, before she realized what power she had with her child. "No, this won't be your child Rhett Butler, this will be mine, all mine. And you will have no idea that this baby exists until I decide to tell you." Scarlett remembered how much Bonnie loved Rhett more than her and how it hurt her. "She'll be my baby, and she will love me more than anyone, and when the time is right, I'll tell you and then you will wish that you could take back the divorce and could have seen your daughter grow-up."
