During the day, Scarlett had very little time to think about Rhett. But, he was always in the back of her mind, and at night when she was lying in bed, she would think about him and how her baby was going to change everything! She thought about how he had loved Bonnie, and how happy he would be when he found out. But, all that changed three days before Scarlett was to return.
It was a Saturday, Scarlett had been shopping with Cathy at the city market. Picking out items to bring back to her family at home, while Column was getting the mail. He soon returned with several letters and then a big envelope. Amazingly, he gave the large envelope to Scarlett. She looked at it curiously, it was originally addressed to her Atlanta home, but then it was forwarded to her in Savannah and then to her in Ireland.
She opened it carefully, and then she fainted. Column carefully picked her up and took her to a hotel.
