| ..... "It is human nature for a young man to like a girl or vice-versa. This instinct Allah has placed in us in order that we may establish a solid and happy family. In contrast, if this instinct is abused without restraint, it will only lead to emotional, physical, and spiritual anarchy and instability. People who do not observe self-restraint in this matter will only be tormenting themselves. Harun Yahya, further elucidates: "Usually, it is at a young age that people fall under the influence of romanticism, which prevents the development of their minds and conscience. Television and films often impose romantic and emotional subjects on viewers. They contend that sentimentality is merely a natural tendency in human beings. Romance is one of the most consistent and marketable themes in music, poetry and literature. Satan knows very well that sentimentality is a sickness that prevents people from thinking properly. Therefore, he seeks to mislead society at every turn by means of an intense and constant bombardment of sentimental themes." This he does gradually. There was a gap of 50 years between Raj Kapoor & Mallika Sherawat! Films today are trend setters. Some of the current films would have been looked upon with contempt in the 50's. Today it heralds a new era, under the guise of liberation, free thinking & 'art'. Is depicting the basest of traits an 'art'? And who is liberated the one who feels the need to reveal what is best concealed or the one whose mind is not imprisoned by any such fancy? A pearl looks the best when it is concealed in its shell. Remember, that the Satan is very patient! And, we are like the frog which would leap out, if put in a bowl of boiling water, but would burn to death if the temperature is gradually increased to the boiling level. The satan and his Masonic cahoots are master psychologists. Our Indian ethos teaches us to be truthful & realistic. We should always bear in our mind that we cannot fast-forward our lives. We have to be patient. We should also realize that at our young age the first & foremost priority should be to find our ground-footing i.e. to establish ourselves as independent & useful members of our society & not fall prey to the various distractions that capture our imagination. Over indulgence in romanticism & its offshoot, deviant indulgences, often makes the youngster restless, sad, frustrated, & low in constructive spirit. He then becomes physically & intellectually feeble, irrationally rebellious, and unduly anxious & is bereft of vigour, wisdom, industrious spirit, & zeal of life. The proper way of dealing with the difficulty is to forget the past & be zealously careful of the future. Assure yourself that you shall remain true to your own self not deviating from the path of righteousness ever so little for any allurement under any circumstances. Note that the sandalwood does not lose its fragrance & purity inspite of it being wrapped by poisonous snakes. Whatever be the surroundings, the internal forces of a well developed mind of a dynamic individual overcomes low & debasing ideas. Broaden your views, look to the brighter side, read good authors especially at night so that you become conscious of the true nature & purpose of your existence, your future, here & in the hereafter; & the permanent values that govern your life based on proper logic & common sense. It is character & diligent hard work that break the walls of difficulties. Strive to develop a cheerful personality, a cultivated understanding, considerateness & wholeheartedness with the background of absolute celibacy. If one sincerely remains steadfast to these ideals then comes a time when he is enjoying perfect bliss, because his efforts have been crowned with success. May Alah grant us strength of character to successfully realize our true aspirations both, temporal & moral. ************************************************************************************** |
