Kingdom Twelfth Night/ War Practice
January 8-9, 2000 Goodyear, AZ
After hectic holidays, come join the Barony of SunDragon for a weekend of entertainment, relaxation and fun. Starting with the celebration of Twelfth Night on Saturday, followed by Kingdom War Practice on Sunday.
Site opens at noon on Saturday and Twelfth Night festivities will begin at 3 PM, with a competition between the Kingdom Kids and the Aten Adults to see who can decorate the most original gingerbread house. This competition will end at 6 PM. The gingerbread, candies and frosting will be supplied. From 5 to 6:30 PM there will be a sideboard-style feast. This is going to be casual dining, so please provide your own seating. There will be limited seating available in the ramada. Please call the feastocrats for reservations. During feast there will be an open bardic. At 6:30 PM desserts will be served. At that time, there will be a dessert competition and the gingerbread houses will be judged. After the desserts and into the night, there will be court-style and middle eastern dancing.
Kingdom War Practice will take place on Sunday. It will be a grand melee held to prepare to defeat the forces invading our fair Kingdom of Atenveldt. All courts will be held at the discretion of Their Majesties.
Saturday, site opens at noon and the park gates will close at 10 PM. THIS IS NOT A CAMPING EVENT. Sunday, Site opens at 10 AM and closes at 6 PM. This is a wet site, however glass bottles are prohibited. Please keep pets on a leash and pick up after them. There is running water, but we don't recommend drinking it. Even though it's January, we live in Arizona, so please bring sunscreen and plenty of drinking water.
Site Fee: $5, children under twelve are free. (If you show us your parking stub, we will reimburse the park fee of $3 on Saturday.)

Directions: Take I-10 West from Phoenix to Goodyear. Exit at Estrella Pkwy. Follow Estrella Pkwy to Vineyard Blvd. and turn left. The park entrance is on the right, just past the golf course. Ramada 7 is on the South side of the park.
