The Assassin is a two time GWA World Champion, but is entering his first ever Wrestlefest Main Event. And it just so happens that this match is against a man he has never beaten on Pay Per View... Death.
Death and The Assassin have a storied history. In 2002, they had one of the hottest rivalries in GWA, or then, ECEW history. In fact, at the last Wrestlefest, two years ago, Wrestlefest III, Death defeated The Assassin inside of the Cell to capture the ECEW Intercontinental Championship. Yet, after nearly four years climbing the mountain in the GWA, Death gets his first ever shot at the GWA World Championship. This is a spot where he has worked to be for his entire career.
At Wrestlefest this Sunday, will Death finally be able to accomplish his life-long dream of becoming GWA Champion, defeating an arch-rival in the process? Or will the GWA Champion, The Assassin, retain, and finally beat Death at a Pay Per View on the biggest stage of them all?
