| Back to part 7 Ons Leven (part 8) Heero shot his husband a short glance from where he was working on his laptop. Duo hadn't been acting like himself the entire day. After diner, he had cleaned up quietly by himself instead of teasing their daughter that it was her turn. And after staying in the shower for about an hour he quietly watched TV, brushing his hair, instead of asking Heero to do it for him. Trinity had been fairly quiet herself. She hadn't even asked her father for the remote, much less tickled him to hand it over like she usually did. He had a rough clue as to why his family was acting so peculiar, but it didn't help him from worrying. He shut his laptop and walked over to where Duo was sitting on the bed flipping through channels. "Was dinner OK?" He couldn't think of anything else to ask. He picked out Duo and Trinity's favorite food, even though he doesn't like chicken. Neither one of them had commented on it. Not that he was expecting a comment, but Duo always had *interesting* ways of showing his appreciation. "Ah" Duo didn't even look up to meet Heero's glance. The dark haired man narrowed his eyes. With a sigh he settled himself behind the unusually silent man, resting each of his legs on either side of Duo. He put his hands around the other man and pulled off his shirt from behind. After tossing the shirt behind him, he gently started massaging Duo's bare back, tracing the cross tattoo on Duo's left shoulder blade. "You've been quite. Are you alright?" He whispered as he massaged Duo's shoulders. The American slowly relaxed while debating how to answer the question. There were many things bothering him. He had seen Relena that afternoon, as she drooled over Heero. He wasn't sure why, but he felt a little powerless towards her. He knew that Heero loved him. Heero had affirmed that both through actions and words, but he knew that he'd be growing really big and bloated soon. Not very attractive looking by the least. He wouldn't call it jealousy...no. Because that would mean that he didn't trust Heero. And he did. But he was just not very confident. This whole process of pregnancy often toyed with his emotions. "Heero..." he sighed as the other man massaged his aching muscle, "I love you....t'yah know that?" He leaned back, tilting his head backwards to rest it on the other man's shoulder. "Hn" Duo turned his head to the other bed where Trinity had fallen asleep with her teddy. "I'm unsure Heero. I mean, I don't know how this time 's gonna be. I'm afraid. It hurt so much last time. I guess I'd forgotten just how much it hurt till that dream last night. I'm not sure I can go through that again." He leaned forward getting away from Heero's massage, and turned within the embracing legs. Violet locked onto blue. "I'm also not sure about Relena Peacecraft." Prussian eyes widened as the realization of just what Duo was trying to say sank in. "What do you mean? Relena? Duo, I have nothing with her. And if you ever even thought that I'd ever leave you for her, or anyone else, you've been greatly misinformed. I love you. I don't believe I even remotely care about her. You are my husband, Duo. We've been married for ten years. Do you still, for even a moment, think that I would want anyone else but you? Do you think I would ever be tempted when I have you? What are you saying?" Violet eyes glistened with held back emotion. Duo felt bad for accusing Heero. He dropped his eyes and tried to shift away from the other man. "I'm sorry Heero, I...this pregnancy is letting me think weird things. I never meant to accuse you." Strong hands shot out and gently grabbed his face tilting it to meet emotionally shaking blue orbs. Despite Duo's prior shifting, Heero moved forward plastering his body to Duo's as he gently covered his mouth in a sweet kiss. He lay back onto the bed, pulling Duo with him. Duo rolled off, pulling the other man on top of him. All this time, never breaking the locking kiss. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the two men broke, both breathing heavy. "Anyone ever tell you you're a great kisser." Duo said smiling. Heero momentarily crossed his eyes emerging a husky low chuckle from the American. He felt relieved that Duo's humor had returned. "I wouldn't know." Heero replied, sitting up long enough to take off his own shirt. "You're the only person I've ever kissed." Duo frowned as Heero gently sucked on a sensitive part of his neck. "Aia.....Heero! Don't give me one of those. Trin's gonna wanna know where I got it from." Heero looked up from where he had created a small red spot on his husband's neck. He shot Duo a suspicious look. "She won't be asking me. You're the one getting it." He smiled as he continued marking his husband. Duo sighed as Heero's strong yet gentle wet suctions shot a pleasure bound sensation through his body. He grabbed a hand full of dark hair urging Heero to knead his sensitive skin with those soft lips. "Six is as good a age as any to know what a hickey is." he thought as he reached out to turn off the light. ---------------------------------------------------------- "The meeting has adjured. Ladies and gentlemen, good day. Heero, I'd like a moment with you." Heero nodded, shut off his laptop and waited. Treize and Zechs each shot each other a peculiar look before Treize opened up his briefcase taking out some papers. "Heero, both Zechs and I have watched you closely. You have an excellent record. You're ideas for this foundation are outstanding. Your leadership criteria are superior. We were both hoping that your wife could make it to this trip. Reason being that we would like to congratulate you on becoming president of the new department we've bought." He smiled handing the quiet man some papers. "This means that your salary will be enough to get you living the live of a king. I was very hesitant about doing this, but after all.....you are the best." Heero's face was impassive, as usual, but he did feel speechless. Not to long ago he was a mere worker with excellent working skills, and now he practically owns the third and newest branch of the Khushrenada-Peacecraft foundation. This would mean that Duo wouldn't have to work anymore. That would take a lot of stress of off him, giving him more time with their children. Being president means that he would have a lot of more freedom in deciding his work schedule and, therefore, allow him more time with his family. "But...like I said, I wanted your wife to be here, when we present this to the rest of the employees tomorrow night." Tomorrow night. He'd forgotten that there was going to be a party upon a special guest. Guess he's the special guest. What better time than to affirm all those rumors, and introduce his husband officially. "Let us drink shall we?" Zechs said opening a glass of champagne. "To your success!" Next page>> Back Home or E-mail |
