"Alas, I'm done!"
Duo slumped on the bed. After unpacking, he had moved all the seats and tables to the side and practiced some of his dance steps. He'd decided that Heero and himself would take the left bed closest to the bathroom, and Trinity would get the bed closest to the door. The sound of waves were always able to put her to sleep anyway.
His head shot up as he heard a loud knock on the door. His violet eyes narrowed as the sound of the knock was familiar, but not Heero's or Trinity's. Dragging his tired form to the door, he peeked through the small hole.
Violet depths widened as recognition sank in. His hand missed the doorknob since the shock hadn't quite settled.
"V-Valerie!! What on earth are you doing on this ship?!?!"
The girls brown eyes shimmered as she suppressed a laugh. "We're all on the ship Duo!" She smiled.
"SURPRISE!!!"
I found out yesterday when I was checking my mail and found a ticket. Isn't it great, you'll be able to do the step with me. Technically you're not missing any days of off work. We're all gonna have a vacation and finally be able to meet that mysterious husband of yours."
"B-But" Duo broke out of trance. "How? I don't understand! Why didn't you guys tell me?"
"Yomi didn't tell you cause Quatre insisted on it being a surprise. Besides if we told you, you might have come up with some excuse for us not to meet your man." Val held her breath as she observed the slight blush that crossed the braided man's face. A little more and she'd die holding her laughter.
Duo cleared his throat. "I am *NOT* trying to keep my husband a secret. And have never made excuses to keep him a secret. I wear this ring don't I?"
The girl began to laugh uncontrollably despite the heavy frown on Duo's face. "I'm sorry Duo" She said trying to stop her laughter. "I insisted that I break the news to you because you're just too funny. You're the best!" Duo observed her, and after a moment of thought, decided to laugh along.
