WARNING: SITE IS BUSTED

Hello, Internet. After six years guessing, I finally figured out the login to my old Geocities site and cared enough to write this blurb. The unvalidated HTML contained in these pages are the product of a writing course I took my sophomore year of college, circa 2002. I've decided to keep this page up to serve as a public time capsule of my past life. The Internet is cool like that.

Carry on,

All About Me

Brief Biography

If you haven't noticed the title on the top of your browsing window, my name is Kevin Mikles. I was born to my parents Cindy and Cary at Butterworth hospital in Lansing, MI. From there, our family moved around a bit, stopping in New York, NY, Stamford, CT, and finally ending up back in Michigan near the city of Grand Rapids. There, I completed elementary school, middle school, and my first year of high school at EGR High before we moved once again. This time it was to the outskirts of Ann Arbor. After graduating from Saline High School in '99, I enrolled at Eastern Michigan University, where I am currently studying written communication and computer information systems.

Indie Rock

...Is my life in a nutshell. Expanding on that, I enjoy all sorts underground rock that is hard to categorize. It's also alot easier to say "I listen to indie rock" than "I listen to punk and indie and hardcore and post-punk and emocore and..." There's always a song playing in my head when there isn't any music around. My links page has a few of my favorite bands listed, as well as the band I play in, aptly named The Social Retards. Be afraid.

Who am I?

I'm still trying to figure that out so, unfortunately, I cannot say. I can describe some of my favorite pastimes to give you an idea. I love music, as stated above, and can play a variety of instruments, including the guitar, bass, the four- or five-piece drumset, violin, viola, mandolin (kinda), and the spoons. The other thing that excites me like nothing else is computer technology. I enjoy tinkering around with my G4 and PCs (AMD r0x!), as well as working part time as a computer technician at an Ann Arbor shop. On that note, I'm also a self-proclaimed videogame junky (when the time permits). RPGs are my genre of choice, but I have been known to get into the occasional FPS. With that said, Doom III is gonna blow you suckas away! Click here to see the MMORPG I'm addicted to for life, Meridian 59. When I'm not sucked into that damn game, I'm usually hanging out with friends, watching obscure movies. They usually fall into at least one of four categories: Cheezy Horror (Dead Alive, Leprechaun IV - Leprechaun In Space), Indie Comedy (Orgasmo, Clerks), Rap Horror (Cryptz, Jimmy Bones), or Cult Classic (Pink Flamingos, Surf Nazis Must Die!). Don't worry; I like regular movies too.
