| Tournament Rules |
| The rules posted here for this tournament are not yet finalized. Final rules will be given to each player the day of the tournament. General 1. USGA rules shall govern except as modified by course rules or this set of rules. Appropriate attire is required for play. Practice good golf etiquette. 2. This is a scratch scramble. Handicaps will not be considered. 3. NO mulligans are allowed. 4. Men shall use the blue tees on all holes and ladies shall use the yellow tees on all holes. 5. After choosing which shot location to play from, subsequent shots shall be taken within one club length from the original lie, no closer to the hole. You may not improve your lie. For example, if the chosen shot is in the rough you may not improve the lie into the fairway - if the chosen shot is in a hazard, subsequent shots must be made from the hazard. If all four shots are lost, out of bounds, in the water, etc., USGA rules must be followed regarding such shots. (Yes, this situation can actually occur in a scramble!) 6. Subsequent putts shall be made within one putter head length of the original spot chosen, no closer to the hole. 7. Record the team score when the first team ball is in the cup. 8. To help the pace of play, do not record any score over a double-bogey. 9. All prizes will be awarded immediately following the tournament during lunch. You must be present to win door prizes. 10. Ties for low score will be settled by the course Pro. Special Items Long Drives, Putts, etc. 11. For the long drive the ball must come to rest in the fairway. 12. For the closest to the pin the ball must be on the green or in the cup. On hole #10, the closest to the pin must be made on the 2nd shot. 13. For the longest putt, the putt must originate from the green. Shots made from anywhere other than the green, even if made using a putter, will not be considered a putt. All longest putts are for both men and ladies. 14. A "special" ball will be given to each foursome. Each player in the foursome must alternate play with the ball through the course, i.e. "player one" plays hole one with the ball, then "player two" plays hole two with it, and so forth through the entire 18 holes. Balls that survive the course without getting lost or ending up "swimming with the fishies" will be turned in at the end of play to be eligible for bonus prizes. DO NOT slow the pace of play looking for lost balls!!!! However, if you lose your special ball, and happen to find someone elses, your team may continue play with the found ball and turn it in. |
