Alcatraz Lacrosse Club has entered the 2001 season with a new mission, "out with the old, in with the new." The team's 2001 goals include tightening up the squad and developing a new unexpected competition within the Northern California Lacrosse League.

It took a slow 22 min. 15sec. start to wake up these sleepy criminals, but once they woke it was an Amityville style horror for Homogrown. Alcatraz answered a 7-7 tie with a 12-0 run and delivered one heck of a sentence before that final buzzer.

A little Haloween Scare from the criminals in black is all it took. POB came out to play once again, and once again put up a great game. Unfotunately a 6-6 tie at the half was as close as they could get to running with this undefeated team.

To my knowledge this is the first box team to finish a season without a loss. Phonominal offence, destroying defence and fantastic teamwork have proven that you don't need any skill or good looks to be a great team! All you need is to be an ugly, rotten, hardworking criminal!

The team that respects itself is the team that shines. Nobody on this team is a superstar, nobody is any better than his linemate. What's funny about this situation is that in the end it's this team that stands atop the standings. Keep rollin' - GO CRIMINALS!

Fall BOX Season Summary |

|
An uncharacterisic end to a great season. The criminals fell short in more ways than this lopsided score shows. Excuses can be made of holidays, injuries, or anything that the mind desires, but like they say excuses are like bungholes, everybody has got one and they all stink.
This Alcatraz team blew it in the final game last week but we also learned a much more valuable lesson. What matters in the end is that we had a great season, we have a great team and we had some great times. We proved to ourselved that when we have the committment we can not only play with anyone out there, but we can win.
I personally am looking forward to playing this spring with everyone on this team.
