Dr. Stephanie Ferguson, International Council of Nurses Leadership for Change Director facilitated the Training of Trainers Workshop where Gillian Butts-Garnett (Guyana), Helen Frett (BVI) and Merlene (Jamaica) were trained to implement the programme in their respective countries.
The First workshop for new participants in Guyana was conducted in June 2005 with 27 partiicipants including 6 persons from the Suriname Nurses Association.
There were several follow up sessions and then the second workshop was held in February, 2007.
The Pan American Health Organization is providing support and financial assistance to the programme.
Participants are nurse leaders drawn from private and public hospitals, Nursing Schools and other Health care institutions throughout Guyana.
