ABOUT THE GUYANA LFC
The Guyana Leadership for Change Programme is a joinmt initiative with the Suriname Nurses Association.

The Goal of the programme is:
To improve the health and nursing services for all people in Guyana by strengthening the leadership and management skills of current and potential nurse leaders in Guyana.

The Objectives are:
1.  Develop a group of nurses in Guyana and Suriname  who will:
� Improve their knowledge, skills and attributes as leaders and managers in health and nursing services
� Improve their self confidence and image, which will foster the trust of the patients and the community.

2. Sustain and strengthen the skills of previously trained participant, to:

a) Enhance her effectiveness and impact as a leader
b)      Build on existing work done in Guyana and have a good return on the investment already made through her participation in previous LFCprogrammes

EXPECTED OUTPUTS
30 nurses trained in management and leadership development.
- 24 nurses from Guyana
- 6 nurses from Suriname
A strengthened National Nurses Association fraternity in Guyana through leadership and skills development of nurses who participated in LFC
