The association also held several workshops and seminars focussing on issues such as HIV/AIDS, Human Resource Development, Stress management and diabetes.
The Association established a Nursing Task Force on HIV/AIDS and with help from CIDA, GHARP and the Safer Injection Project has implemented several initiatives to build the capacity of nurses to respond to the HIV/AIDS situation in Guyana
The Association also conducted several successful fund raising activities including several creole breakfasts, bar be cue and Dance and Take away lunch.
In collaboration with the University of Guyana Nursing Degree Programme, the Association also celebrated the graduation of nurses with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing since the Programme commenced. An award ceremony is usually held each year and the graduands are recognized and awarded.
