Papabear stalks Raincliffe woods
G-MAN with MP5A4
What a stoke of luck, I had taken out my chosen target. I stood up and walked into camp, gun above my head, smiling.

Im out! I declared. As I moved into the dimmed light of a bunker; Ian came hurtling out of another.

Right, Wraiths got to be around here somewhere! he stated. Im going to get him!
Just then came the familier crack of Wraiths XM. HIT, HIT! replied Ian. Sounding unhappy with himself.
Wraith emerged from the darkness, only 10m away. As he walked into the light; I could see the smile on his face.

We sat and talked with the Ghosts for half an hour, about the days gaming. It turned out Napoleon had given them some grids to search that contained our camp. They had patrolled for a couple of hours at tea time. But had failed to find any trace of us.  Laughing, we said farewell and returned to camp (stopping to see if they followed us.) Upon our return we were joined by G-man, carrying his rucksack and MP5A4 AEG. We sat and chatted, spirits were high. Getting our heads down, we hit the sack. Ready for a gruelling day tommorrow.
DAY 3
I woke to the sound of a blackbird, twittering in the tree above my head. It was light and I had slept well. Those soft pine needles, made a comfortable bed. Nudging Wraith, we all made an effort to get up, washed and watered. cooking some snap, we all felt better, with something in our stomachs. Napoleon arrived and explained the game. It was another attack game. TMA had to storm the same camp as last night.
Reloading our guns, we sat huddled in our shelter. With a parish map of the site we discussed which angle to come in from. Deciding that Papabear and
G-MAN would move in along the bottom right, while again Wraith and myself would enter through the pine. Stowing our sleeping bags away we secured the camp.
Then as I nodded to G-Man we moved off in single file. G-Man was our anchor player, a skilled Airsofter. His main skills were TEAMWORK and gun maintenaance. Indeed G-MAN was the poineering Gun Doctor at SAC. His shunned Point and Sniper roles. Indeed G-MANs position on the patrol was always TAILMAN. Armed with his MP5A4 non Hop AEG, we were glad of his Backup.
We Crossed the klick of woodland silently. I was mentally prepared, after the hour of intense pointwork. It had woke me up and tuned in my senses, with the paranoia that comes with Point. We arrived at our planned Ready Point. We sat down and listened, in all round defence. After 10 minutes, we had heard the odd sound from the Ghosts camp, but nothing else. We stuck to the plan and split up. Wraith and I flanked left and found the corridor of pine we had crawled up last night. Now in day light you could see the trail of cleared leaves, moving up hill. But now in daylight, it became apparant that we had picked the worst route. Indeed the corridors of pine on either side of that one; were practicaly leafless. Deciding to swing further left we crawled in. This time I took the lead. After 10 minutes of stealthy crawling we were level with th camp. Able to catch the odd glimpse of movement, through the thick pine. I signalled to Wraith that I intended to move uphill, he replied that he would close in from here.
Now thinking we were going to possibly suprise the Ghosts I pressed on. Suddenly, firing started on the other side of camp. First one then two AEGs opened up. It was apparant the Ghosts had now taken cover. As I crept further, I saw the extent of the Ghosts camp.  I realised how lucky we had been on the previous evenings game. The camp was a series of bunkers all close together and linked with walls. Indeed it was an impressive strongpoint. I glimpsed two figures in the bunkers firing in the oppersite direction. Lining up, I fired hitting Dave in the back. From my right I heard Wraiths rifle crack and another Ghost yelled HIT!I pushed across the raised ground above the camp. Making it to cover, I reassessed the situation. G-Man was firing on semi 40m away from my front left. All of the Ghosts had now withdrawn into their bunker complex. As all outside had been shot. I counted 6 opponents in all. Papabear had now circled round to Wraiths position, where he reloaded. I cycled my CAR15's bolt and fired steadily. Trying to stay out of a direct confrontation, I used lob shots over cover. This is going to get us nowhere I thought.
Just then Papabear sprung from his position only 15m from the nearest bunker. Firing on the move he crossed the open ground. Everything went into slow motion, or so it seemed. As he neared the first bunker, I watched his MP5 run dry. He dipped in his stride and placed it on the ground. With his other hand, he drew his Berretta 92 GAS pistol. Taking the first wall with a bound he extended his arm and fired. Tagging 1 Ghost, he landed on the otherside. Spinning he fired again. HIT! cried a second. Now he puhed foward with his chromed pistol ready. Instantly, he spotted movement and reaction fired, hitting the third Ghost in the chest. No time to stop now, he pressed forward, keeping low. Entering the second bunker, Bang, Bang, 2 more Ghosts were tagged! Deno and G-Man were both up and running now, backup was on its way. Papabear, leapt into the third position, pistol ready. Napoleons hand and gun was visible protruding from the shelter. Bang! Hit! yelped Paul, clutching his sore finger. CLEAR! shouted Mark as he stood in the middle of the chaos. The camp had been taken, almost single handedly with a dodgy gas pistol. Again Victory was ours.
The event had been one of TMAs toughest challenges. If not the toughest. As always my team had risen to the occassion and proved our salt. After all, we had a reputation to maintain. Everyone packed their kit and went home with a smile on their face. Except perhaps the battered RFG.............. Until next time.
