24 Hour Tournament
Ready for another TASK, BRAVO radioed the MARSHALS. Offered a PATROL, they accepted. They were given the grid reference of the first control. STRIKER and LEMMING set off to look for the 10" yellow marker. On it was marked a codeword, they would need to find it to get control 2's grid reference.
CHARLIE's sniper APOC, had crawled along the west slope of the PLATEAU and was now only 5m from the tents. He could hear ALPHA cooking on the far side of the tents. Laying still in the ferns, he waited for his moment. His STYER AUG was ready on it's bipod.

STRIKER and LEMMING had moved quickly and soon located the second CONTROL with few problems. Radioing in the CODEWORD, they were issued the 3 Grid references and set off past the TRENCHES.
ALPHA were still unsure where the SNIPER was, so moved in again. Ready for an ambush.
STRIKER and LEMMING reached the first control hidden under the gorsebushes. They radioed in the CODEWORD and were then sent the second set of grid references.
Just then APOC fired a single shot, again scoring a "HIT!" (7:14) on SCOTT. APOC got up, to reposition.
Oblivious to the SNIPER's presence, ALPHA went about their business. Accepting the PATROL, they began to get ready. FIONA moved off from the tents, heading uphill to the loo.
Moving within a few meters of APOC, FIONA didn't see him and carried on. He lined up his cross hairs and fired a double tap: "HIT!" (6:09) yelled Fi, as the pellets hit her backside. APOC crawled off, unchallenged.
NAPOLEON radioed the Marshal that the FIELDCRAFT TASK was complete and required scoring. The MARSHALS approached and almost walked ontop of it without realising that 3 guns were trained on them. It had been built by FACEMAN and CHURCHILL, while NAPOLEON had expertly cammed it up with ferns. It could accomodate 3 players and had cover from all angles. The MARSHALS awarded CHARLIE the maximum 6 points for their effort, before quickly departing.
APOC moved in again to attempt another shot. Getting compromised, after his initial shot missed, he bugged out down the plateau, followed by 5 of ALPHA.
Aware the sniper was close, ALPHA split into 2 groups. SCOTT and KARL moved into the dip, while FLETCH and MONKEY stayed on the hillside. They slowly closed in.
APOC could hear movement and lay in wait. SCOTT moved into his sights 5 meters away. Squeezing the trigger, he fired a shot on semi, scoring a "HIT!" (6:57) APOC moved 5m and then lay still again.
APOC listened and waited for his shot. KARL now stepped into view and was unaware of APOC laid prone only meters away. Again using minimal fire, APOC sprang the ambush, getting a "HIT!" (7:00). APOC moved off another 5m and went to ground.
SCOTT circled down the PLATEAU. Approaching the bottom of the PLATEAU, this time from the low ground. His custom MP5RIS at the ready. MONKEY, FLETCH and NEIL saw movement and went to ground, ready to open fire. FLETCH realised the movement was actually SCOTT and signalled he was friendly.
Hearing the shot, MONKEY quickly moved to the ridge near him and saw APOC bugging out 20m away. Opening fire with a 3 round burst, he scored a "HIT!" (7:14) ALPHA returned to their PATROL TASK and began to look for their first CONTROL.
RAZER and CHOPPER had approached the PLATEAU in an effort to find ALPHA's bergen tags. Spotting a SCOTT Tagged out returning, they took cover near the fenceline. Watching him walk by 20m away, they held their fire.
