Complaints And Grievances

Today I'd like to give a nice, warm shout-out to my friends in Nashville at the Department of Safety. Hi guys! How's your day? Must be pretty fucking great knowing you just got $400 out of me only a couple weeks ago for me to get my license, and now I've got this new letter, you see. This one says my driving privelages are about to be suspended again. Hah-ha! That's fucking great! You want my license back, come and fucking get it. I've spent over $800 and missed countless hours of work trying to placate those license pulling fucks. And now they want it again?!? I haven't been pulled over since August 8, 2003! That's cool, though, you guys do what you want. I made it NINE months last time, racing, auto-xing, taking long trips to and fro, ran from cops on back roads and on main ones. Nine months without a license and living a fuller life on the road than most drivers. So go ahead, try and take my license back. If you can keep up.

Well, I got my RPS13 - and conquered Myogi. That seems to be he deciding factor in whether or not I keep a car. If I can take out Myogi witout losing a race (not too hard, but it lets me test the car a good deal), then I keep the car. Otherwise, it's gone. Which seems to be a waste of a dollar for the memory card, but then again, I've never lost on Myogi, or Usui, and I'm becoming damn skilled on Akagi. Up next, Akina. Anyway, enough about Initial D. I sold a phone earlier. Money in my pocket. Now if I can just sell like twenty-one more this month, I should be okay. Seeing as how Thanksgiving is next Thursday, it shouldn't be hard to do afterwards.

*Harumph!* I forgot my Initial D memory cards when I came into work today! They're in my pullover at home, which totally sucks since I'm going to be here (at the mall, with the arcade, with the game) for the majority of the day. And can I play? Not unless I want to use an arcade mode car - no. But there's something to be said about getting a silvia or sileighty. I already have an 86 and an FC. You see, I did a little bit of tinkering around on Gran Turismo 3 last night, and the RPS13 is really a car that can hold a drift with the right amount of throttle control. Now, considering that was on a digital controller and the arcade has an actual gas pedal (more or less), this should be a piece of cake. We'll see. (To Be Continued...)

Well, I've got a counter up now and have done work-o-plenty on the internals on my local copy of the site. Right now I've pretty much run it through the ground, but that's why I don't have my remote site automatically updated (hah!). So yeah. Anyway, it's coming close to the end of my first off-day this week, and my back is really killing me. My girlfriend's passed out on the bed right now, so that means if I don't get in there soon, I might fall asleep alone. Combine that with my back, and it's reason enough to retire for the evening. Goodnight.

Check it out, a little vitals screen to the left - it looks funny when you first load the page, but I coded it to where it adjusts when you close the adbar on the left. I haven't really tested it in anything but firefox, but I can do that at work today. I'm also going to hit the initial d machine and get some more points for my FC and 86. FYI, initial d vers. 3 is fucking awesome. I'll have a little page up for it soon, as well as info about my cars and my progress throughout the game. If anybody has any bragging rights for the game, I'll put them up as well as a link to your page once I get things going.
Oh, and check out my shoutcast stream! Right now I'm just playing the NOFX discography for all those NOFX fans. If you can't connect to it from here, fret not, you can from shoutcast.com, my stream is called GunmaGiant. Simple enough.

So I've finally made it home and now I'm getting a better hang of this whole design, and have since moved the navigation menu and have started using anchors on my links. Also up, my fanlistings, Enjoy.

So now I am settling in to this new template. Becoming a little more articulate with css. It's mostly self explanitory if you know html. Luckily, it seems as though the css already lays out the text (word wrap, etc.). Thank god for that. But I'm trying to do all of this at work right now and can only hope that geocities uses css, otherwise this will be all for naught. I intend to put a menu on the bottom. Something with the anchored (#) links that I could use to refer to this little area here. Background image would be nice, as I wouldn't have to scroll on it at all. Unlike frames, I don't have to worry about synching the frames. also, on the index page i want to have most the links refer here, as per the original design, but for the special ones (project d and shoutcast), I'll have individual pages devoted to those. my shoutcast site will have a current playlist as well as links to stream ripping software and various polls, guest book shouts, and music requests. Here's how it works. I take the photos all you lucky kids with camera phones send me and I post them on the site. Doesn't have to be a special photo. Just any strange, random, out of place, or reasonably photo-oportunistic (I probably made that word up) and send a picture mail message to yours truly. Sound like your kinda thing? Send a picture to 865-385-6536 and look for it on the site. My name is Ben. I live in a small town outside of a small city in a small state somewhere away from most of the madness(though not as far removed as I would like it to be). I am currently a sales rep. for Sprint, and am desperate for phone sales. If you do know anyone who needs a phone, then for the love of god, email me, and I will send one straight to their doorstep (in most cases within twenty-four hours). I will work with you on it. About the layout I have referred to (the one you're looking at) it was developed by Chris of web-site.tk. Various images and pictures of my own little world.
