The long history of Gundam Beyond has its origins shrouded in the mists of time for the majority of people. But I, Strife, the creator of Gundam Beyond remember the first day I laid my eyes on a Gundam Role-Playing Game. It was the summer of 1999 I believe, and I had just joined Dyrik's All Gundam RPG - which as it happens was my first exposure to Gundams. A little later, I was invited to join Slasher's Endless Battle RPG (Slasher was a member of Dyrik's as well) and from there, my interest in Gundam only blossomed further.
After a few months in ENdless Battle and some heated major conflicts with Kaneda (who went on to create Psychics Anonymous) I finally decided to create my own Gundam RPG. Following in my tradition as an RPG owner, I adopted the name 'Beyond' from my old Dragonball Beyond RPG, which ran until Gundam Beyond began. Gundam Beyond began as a simple knock-off of Endless Battle and Dyrik's All Gundam but eventually grew into something unique, growing to an estimated 160 members +.
However, nothing lasts forever and after nearly a year... Gundam Beyond was finally closed under the administration of Strife. But after some long discussions with former members who wanted to keep it going, I handed over administration to Hunter Epsilon (OrderedKnight) who was very interested in running it. The RPG again ran for another 5-6 months until the joint ownership of Hunter Epsilon and his brother, Ravin Durkson until they were forced to hand it over to Adin Barret because of lack of time.
Under the ownership of Adin Barret, the site attempted to continue the long tradition but the number of things going on in Adin's life did not permit him to update as much as he'd like. Gundam Beyond 1 thus ended.
Sometime during the reign of Hunter and Ravin over Gundam Beyond 1, I, Strife began Gundam Beyond 2, which attempted to recreate the fun of Gundam Beyond 1 with a new set of rules and a new world. The RPG ran with some unique concepts that I attempted to introduce at the end of GUndam Beyond 1 (which I was never able to implement, which Hunter and Ravin managed to partially implement). The site ran smoothly for two months before I was forced to close it... which I heartily regret.
However now, more than two years after the founding of Gundam Beyond 1 and 3 after the founding of Dragonball Beyond. I am attempting to continue the legacy of 'Beyond' but creating Gundam Beyond 3- the next in the tradition. Let us hope that it truly goes Beyond all Boundaries
Oh and I'd like to congratulate some of the people who have made it through all my role-playing games; Omega8101,Ultragohan4, ChronoDBU and Xtremebolt... very devoted you two are :) (They've been in every RPG listed below and hopefully they'll be in GB3)
